OYSTER MASTERCLASS AUGUST 22, 2019

 

No two oysters are the same, which is why we are showcasing the very best Sydney Rock Oysters throughout the month of August. As part of the celebration, our oysters will be hand-picked by an Appellation “oyster sommelier” and we will also be hosting a one-off Masterclass. The oysters will also be matched with some of our favourite wines in our daily specials every day this month. So come in for a daily “Show and Shell” at love.fish.

 

The Sydney Rock Oyster, native only to the East Coast of Australia and grown in rivers, lakes, and bays, is renown around the world for its sweet taste and creamy texture. The Masterclass will be presented by Paul Ryder from Australias Oyster Coast, an innovative Australian company and internationally recognised brand representing more than 45 of Australia’s leading oyster growers, operating across 13 estuaries along the unspoilt East Coast of NSW. Australia’s Oyster Coast is unique as it produces premium oysters grown under rigorous environmental management systems in some of the world’s cleanest waters by passionate growers with generations of experience.

 

Oyster fans can visit love.fish to indulge in our daily specials featuring different appellation Sydney Rock Oysters from NSW during the month of August. Exactly where they will come from will be dependent on the weather and conditions close to consumption, as only the best oysters will be chosen.  The Daily Special includes 3 oysters and a glass of Moet & Chandon, Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc, sparkling Pelorus or wines from Cape Mentelle. Or on the weekend, kick back and relax with Saturday and Sunday Specials which feature a Bloody Mary and 3 oysters for just $25. 

 

On August 22nd, brand ambassador Paul Ryder will hold his Masterclass on the origin of the Sydney Rock with guests learning where they are grown, how they are harvested, how to shuck an oyster, the best way to eat oysters and how to best pair oysters with wines. They are also going home with their own Appellation oyster knife.
